International Polytechnic Summer School 2024

All the summer school programs are developed according to the European requirements and can be recognized as a period abroad. Upon successful completion of the course students receive SPbPU certificate with courses, ECTS credits and grades specification.

Outstanding professors will challenge you to explore the theme and increase your knowledge of the subject. Study methods emphasize student’s active participation and involvement. Case studies, group discussions, field trips and study visits are an integral part of the learning process in addition to lectures.

University administration and Russian tutor students will make the stay of visiting students pleasant, comfortable and safe and will help them to settle in and explore St. Petersburg.

St. Petersburg is considered to be one of the world’s most beautiful cities and has everything for the unforgettable travel experience: marvelous sights, rich cultural traditions, eventful nightlife. Summer School is held in the period of famous White Nights that cannot leave anyone indifferent.

With our friendly community you may explore fantastic on-campus life and everyday outside activities! The university’s campus is located between 4 metro stations, and all of them are 15-20 minutes far from the city center.

All our guests are offered with double or triple accommodation in an apartment with shared facilities and a kitchen in the comfortable student dormitory. All the apartments are equipped with a bed, bedside table, desk, chairs, wardrobe, curtains, and bed clothes. There are an electric heating board, a refrigerator, a table, chairs, and a microwave in the kitchen. There are also limited free wi-fi zones in the dormitory lobbies.

The following catering options are available:

• self-catering at SPbPU canteens;
• ordering meals for groups in the IIEP (SPbPU Institute of International Educational Programs) dining hall (at the preliminary request).

We offer our students a number of extracurricular activities and excursions included in the basic program and a few more additionally for extra price. Saint Petersburg is famous all over the world not only for its marvelous palaces, monuments and museums, but also for its beautiful surroundings.

Age and prerequisites. Students under 18 can be admitted to the program only in case they come in a group with a teacher. Students over 18 can be admitted either in a group or individually. Previous educational background and other requirements depend on the program.

Individual students are required to send their applications to the program coordinator via e-mail. For the partner universities sending the group of students (the minimum size of group is 8 persons) the program can be modified (upon preliminary request). In such case the number of courses, syllabi, cultural program and the back up services should be fixed by a separate agreement.
